(KZN.RU, August 17). Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of
Kazan, inspected the progress of work on the improvement of Gorkinsko-Ometevskiy
forests today. Large-scale project in one of the largest forest parks in the Privolzhskiy
and Sovetskiy districts is realized with the participation of the private
investor - the company “ICL -KPO BC”, which has declared its willingness to
fund the construction of the ecological school here. Parking, sidewalks,
bridges, ski-base, engineering network, outdoor lighting network quickly, and removing
of dangerous trees are carried out in the park. Design of the park was made with
the active participation of local residents.
Victor Diachkov, the general director of “ICL -KPO BC”,
shared his plans for the construction of the ecological school with the Mayor.
"We are currently working with a contractor and coordinate contract.
Students will be able to immediately reinforce the theoretical knowledge by
practice. Ecological trails will be laid through the woods, and the children
will be able to see firsthand the diversity of flora. The training process is
planned to involve multimedia system - there will be tremendous opportunities
to introduce children to natural phenomena, to open the world to them”, he
said. It should be noted that forest plantations will not be affected during
the construction of the ecological school.
Ilsur Metshin expressed hope that the Gorkinsko-Ometevskiy
forest will become a center of attraction for the citizens after improvement.
According to the head of the city, the implementation of such large-scale
projects was made possible by the participation of the business. “Almost every
large landscaped park, from Gorky Park to Park Pobedy, was reconstructed with
the help of investors. President of Tatarstan, opening the Year of parks and
gardens last year, urged to attract business to the implementation of social
projects. I am very pleased that one of the biggest forest-park zones of the
city found a new friend. I would like to personally thank the director and
staff of the company for this decision. The company does a lot for the city, the
republic, but this project is special as it contributed to the children, the
future of the city”, said the Mayor.
The Area of Gorkinskiy and Ometevskiy forest is 87.4
hectares. Improvement projects of the territory in provide the creation of the parking,
the entrance and the central zone, children's and sports playgrounds, pampas
tracks for cyclists, a fountain, a ski base, ecological school, and bridge setting
through a ravine. “This year work is planned for the engineering infrastructure
in the first stage, so the next year we would not have to dig anything. It is laying
water supply, sewerage, lighting, video and wireless internet networks, laying of
central tracks and construction of a ski base”, reported Igor Kulyazhev, the deputy
head of the Executive Committee and the chairman of the Committee of
improvements.
Network of trails and paths, designed for skiers,
cyclists, skaters and pedestrians, will be created on the territory of
Gorkinsko- Ometevskiy forest. Availability of existing trails and paths, as
well as the opinion of activists and residents of nearby houses, were
considered in the design. “Combination of track pavers and asphalt for
pedestrians and cyclists will be routed to the forest zone, and will move in
wooden walkway. There will be two ski tracks - 5 and 3 km. Three-kilometer ski track
is designed in such way that there is no conflict with the walkways, so it will
pass under bridges. Also, the bridge will connect the forest with the Bratiya Kasimovy
street”, said Igor Kulyazhev about details of the project.
Multifunctional center with a ski base, which is
already under construction, will be one of the main objects of the forest. “The
center will allow the city to hold the competition. Ski base with the coaching
and judging areas, administrative offices, and two public toilets will be
placed in the building. A small amphitheater will be opened here, with which
you can watch the start-finish, and the podium for the awards. It is planned to
put table tennis on the free area next to the building in the summer”, said
architect Daria Tolovenkova.
Ilsur Metshin urged to pay special attention to
security issues - hour security, video surveillance and fire protection system,
because the object is designed for a large number of visitors, including
children.
Rustem Gafarov, the head of the Sovetskiy district
administration, Andrei Lobov, the head of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhskiy districts
administration, Timur Kadyrov, the deputy chief architect, Ilsiyar
Tukhvatullina, the director of GIP OOO “Architectural House ADT”, and Andrew
Zakamskiy, the director of the contractor company “Progress”, also participated
in the inspection.
300 million rubles were allocated for the improvement
of parks and gardens program in Kazan by decision of the President of Tatarstan
in 2015, in the Year of parks and gardens. The program included six sites:
Square named after Academician Parin, the park "Krylia Sovetov", the Uritsky
park, the Lyadskoy garden, the park “Chernoe Ozero”, and the Gorkinsko-Ometevskiy
