educational institutions “Big Break” was held today in the complex “Pyramid”.
Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, congratulated the winners, prize-winners and
finalists of the festival and awarded them well-deserved awards.
This year
the festival, designed to become a launching pad for involving Kazan
schoolchildren in the creative life of the city, was held for the ninth time.
In the first round in January, in-school selection took place, the district

were included in the gala-concert. In total, the “Big Break” covered 24
schools, and since 2008, 84 schools have participated in the festival.

participants, parents, and teachers who prepared these wonderful, magnificent
scenes but also all of us”, the Mayor of Kazan shared his impressions. “We saw
a gala concert that can decorate any scene. I cannot imagine how much more
professional it is possible to perform. Any of those can decorate both the
opening ceremony of the Universiade, and the future World Cup in 2018. I am
sure that many of you will become not just fans in the stands but also
participants in the opening ceremony. I am very proud that I am the Mayor of
the city, where such talents live and grow”.
The Mayor
of Kazan congratulated all schools and all participants of the festival. “It's
a competition where there are no losers”, he said. “The main result is that
children grow up in our city, in our schools, revealing their talents”. The
Mayor also noted magnificent scenery and costumes, professional direction.
