(KZN.RU,
April 25, Alsu Safina). Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, visited the hostel
of the MUE “PATP-2” today. In the next few days, drivers working in the company
will be able to settle there. The Mayor highly estimated the reconstruction,
carried out in the building, noting that the level of the hostel is comparable
to the Universiade Village.
The new
hostel is located in a two-storey building with an area of 2.854.7 square
meters in the street Garifiyanova, 4a. Before, the wellness complex of the RTI
plant was there. The Mayor of Kazan was shown in photographs how depressing and
desolate the building was for the last 20 years before the year of
reconstruction was started here in July 2015. It ended in December last year,
and a permit for commissioning was received in March.
51 rooms
for 140 people located in a dormitory. The hostel includes 13 blocks, each of
which is equipped with bathrooms and shower cabins. There is a kitchen on all
floors, where, among other things, a water purification system is installed and
individual taps for drinking water are available. Laundry and ironing rooms, an
assembly hall are provided on the first floor, and a pantry of clean linen is
available on the second floor. Albert Mukhametshin, the director of the MUE
“PATP-2”, said that two blocks of the hostel can be adapted, if necessary, for
the residence of families, including children. The cost of living in a hostel
is 3 thousand rubles a month for a cottage.
The
director of the MUE “PATP-2” demonstrated how the registration system of the
hostel’s residents is arranged at the checkpoint and also conducted a tour of
the renovated building.
“The level
of the hostel is the same as in the Village of the Universiade. There are all
conditions to recruit good, quality, professional drivers. With such conditions
and such a hostel, it is possible to recruit drivers by competition”, the Mayor
of Kazan shared his impressions of what he saw.
Rustam
Nigmatullin, the deputy head of the Kazan Municipality, noted that the work to
attract drivers from the surrounding regions to the city's transport
enterprises is being held in Kazan.
The Mayor
also marked that it is important to establish rules for the residents of the
hostel from the very beginning. “When we opened the Universiade Village, there
were doubts, if the students would smash and break everything there”, Ilsur
Metshin said. “But they did not. The Universiade Village has been functioning
for five years and only supporting repair is being carried out there”.
“Culture is
important not only in public transport but also in the hostel. This culture
will then move to work”, added the Mayor.
Aidar
Abdulkhakov, the chairman of the Transport Committee, and Andrei Lobov, the head
of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts’ administration, visited the new
hostel together with the Mayor.
