I.Metshin comments on the socio-economic stability during the crisis in Kazan

Certainly, the crisis will bypass nobody, we feel it on specific indicators: we see how consumer basket  is growing, and make appropriate decisions. The general trend of decline in the Russian economy, unfortunately, makes adjustments to the work plans of the municipality. However, the margin of safety of economically important sectors of our city is high enough to look to the future with confidence. I'm sure for our city and the republic, as we are more prepared for all ordeals. All these years we have  seriously invested technical re-equipment of our industry, road infrastructure and social facilities. Therefore, the safety factor is high enough. The team headed by the President and the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan is managing with crisis not for the first time. Sure, one crisis is not similar to any another, but we clearly know how to act. We have confidence that we will go this way with dignity and to maintain social and economic stability of our city.
