I. Metshin about plans to meet the 5-millionth tourist in Kazan in 2030

More and more people are coming to Kazan. We have already passed such old-timers of Russian tourism as Suzdal, Yaroslavl, Yekaterinburg, and Sergiev Posad. It was important for us to overcome the mark of 3 million tourists, and this year we reached it. By 2030, we are preparing to meet our 5-millionth tourists. Yes, these are ambitious plans, but this is not a shot in the dark, we are making very specific plans. We declare ourselves at specialized fairs, we present the tourist potential of the city, for example, events in Astana, Paris, Madrid, and other cities. We are developing new tourist facilities that could interest tourists again and encourage them to come again.

We passed the 3-millionth mark in 2018. Kazan was visited by 3 million 200 thousand tourists, which is 14% more than in 2017. By the way, two-thirds of tourists come to Kazan again. This is a good result of the development of the Kazan hospitality industry. This means that the 5-millionth guest is very close, new frontiers and new achievements are ahead of us!
