(October 21, Taisiya Basharkina). Today Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan attended school №7 in the Novo-Savinovskiy district of Kazan. Work within an energy-saving quarter is almost finished: painters began to paint the building face with the special paint, and the luminescent and LED lamps are burnt in the school.
Looking back the municipal educational institutions "Grammar school № 7” in the Novo-Savinovskiy district of Kazan became the "Energy Saving Quarter" pilot project implemented in the district limited by the Lavrentyeva, Adoratskogo streets, and Amirkhana, Yamasheva prospects.
There is a range of energy-saving work in high school: the interior lighting has been already replaced to luminescent (Sanitary Regulations and Norms (SanPiN) prohibits the use of LED lighting in schools and kindergartens), energy-saving plastic windows, devices for measuring and regulating have been installed. Lamp street lights have been changed to LED. It is estimated that energy saving in high school will be about 30%.
The great work has done not only inside the school but also outside: internal travel area of 8 thousand square meters has been repaired; painting of the facade has been begun with the special energy saving paint, which will prevent heat loss.
According to Ilsur Metshin, the energy saving is one of the most debated topics both in the domestic and in the national level. It is noteworthy that the project raised the budget sphere as well as the housing sphere in the city. Total in the district there are 23 inhabited houses, 3 kindergartens and 2 schools: school № 7 and secondary school № 23.
Within the “Five Years of Health” based on the grammar school №7 and the secondary school № 23 an athletic core is built. "This is a very heavily populated district so we create here all the conditions for adults and children could play sports", I. Metshin said. During the visit to the grammar school the Mayor has inspected the school football field with synthetic surface which is ready for use.
A football field, volleyball and basketball courts and a hockey court will be included into so-called “sport core”. Now workers lay out paths from pavers and install outdoor fitness equipment on the schoolyard territory.
"Very soon we will be able to present this project not only in our republic but also in Russia. The "Energy Saving Quarter" project demonstrates how the city can save on energy: heat, water and electricity", the Head of the city summed up.
