By the end of the year more than two million tourists will visit Kazan

But it is important to work constantly on the quality of hospitality to visitors who come to Kazan would certainly want to come back. From the beginning of the year Kazan was visited by over 1.7 million tourists - the same as for all the last year. By the end of 2015 tourist flow is expected to increase to 2 million people. This was reported by the deputy head of the municipality of the city of Kazan, Deputy Chairman of the Kazan City Duma Eugenia Lodvigova.

In order to maintain the positive indicators, work on attracting of tourists to the capital of Tatarstan cannot be stopped. "Tourism is one of the fastest growing industries in Kazan, but we still have a lot to do in this area, - says I. Metshin. - If we consider Kazan is like a jewel, not all its facets sparkle. All the conditions are created not only to increase the comfort of the guests, but also for the residents of the city. It is necessary so that we can properly talk about our city and together with representatives of our tourism businesses participate actively in various tourism fairs and competitions".

In general, the tourist traffic to Kazan is growing: for example, 10 years ago, the number of tourists was 500 thousand, five years ago - 1 million people, and now to the end of the year the number of visitors to the capital of Tatarstan will be over 2 million people. In many ways, these results were achieved thanks to the championship in water sports, passed this year - it was visited by about 170 thousand tourists. However, as soon as the flow of tourists in Kazan is scheduled to make a constant, the city authorities hope that the increase in the number of visitors next year will amount to 10-15%.

"We should not dwell on these figures, as long as now we have set ourselves clear objectives for the next year and paid the constant attention of event tourism, - says Eugenia Lodvigova. - Tourists have to come to us throughout the year, thanks to this the flow of tourists will become permanent".

According to the research service hotels.com, Kazan after Moscow and St. Petersburg is included in the shortlist of Russian cities popular among foreigners. According to the rating of TripAdvisor, the capital of Tatarstan became the only city in Russia, which entered the top ten of cities in the world with fastest-growing tourist popularity.
