Presently, support
is provided to Kazan families of the mobilized, where 2,219 children under the
age of 18 are brought up. In schools and colleges, 1,446 students get free
meals twice a day. From November 1,773 parents have been exempted from kindergarten
fees. Irina Smirnova, head of the Social Policy Department of the Executive
Committee of the city, reported on the number of families who were provided
with a medical care, and training of family members of the mobilized at a
meeting of the headquarters for the support of families of the mobilized.
“A lot of
work has been done to provide municipal support measures to the families of the
mobilized and the mobilized at the assembly points, - said Ilsur Metshin, the
Mayor of Kazan. - We have started to provide the mobilized Kazan citizens not
only with household goods, but also with technical and military equipment. A
special area of work of the headquarters was made to ship humanitarian supplies
for residents of Lisichansk. Let me remind you that we have sent more than 500
tons of humanitarian cargo. Kazan enterprises, residents, businessmen have
joined this activity. Two days ago, we sent the fourth humanitarian cargo to
Lisichansk.”
More than 3
thousand tickets to cultural institutions were provided under the Batyr card.
A transport
card for children from 8 to 18 years old has become very demanded. At the
moment, more than 1,200 travel tickets have been issued, for which more than 24
thousand public transport trips have been made.
The Batyr
card, which gives the opportunity to visit cultural and sports institutions for
free, has currently been received by 1,797 children. The benefit is provided by
45 cultural institutions and 20 sports venues. More than 3 thousand tickets
were issued to state, municipal and private cultural institutions under the
Batyr card.
“All youth
clubs, 20 sports venues of the city also provide their services to the children
of the mobilized for free. And with the beginning of the skating season,
children are happy to visit indoor and outdoor ice rinks,”- said the head of
the Social Policy Department.
Eighty-eight
families were provided with medicines and medical checkups.
Executive
Committee departments along with district administrations, Good Kazan and other
organizations, continue to promptly resolve issues requested by the families of
the mobilized, Irina Smirnova said.
The city
district administrations help families of the mobilized with employment, legal protection,
purchasing clothes, medicines, baby food, repairing household appliances,
replacing windows and many others. Families living in the private sector of
Kazan were helped with firewood and snow removal.
“Together
with the Health Department, 46 families were provided with medical checkups.
Some of them have undergone sanatorium treatment,”- the head of the Department
of Social Policy said. Another 42 families received medicines and medical
services with the help of ANO Good Kazan.
In October,
together with the Municipal Social Departments, the payment in the amount of 20
thousand rubles were provided.
In the
Employment Center of Kazan, employees conducted 800 consultations for those who
applied, at the moment 15 wives of the mobilized are being retrained.
