Reports of the
heads of Executive Committee departments on the results of 2022 and plans for
2023 to the Mayor of the city Ilsur Metshin have started in Kazan. The head of
the Financial Department Irek Mukhametshin was the first to report in detail on
the work. He reminded that the 2022 budget of Kazan was originally approved in
the amount of 32.5 billion rubles. At the end of the year, it increased by 7
billion rubles and amounted to 39.8 billion rubles.
Among the major
taxpayers in 2022 were Avers Bank, Kazanorgsintez, Volga-Avtodor PAO, Kazan
Aircraft Production Plant, Kazan Helicopter Plant, Kazan (Volga Region) Federal
University, Kazan Motor-Building Production Association, Municipal Unitary
Enterprise Vodokanal, Svyazinvestneftekhim and others. Twenty of the largest
taxpayers transferred over 3.3 billion rubles to the budget of Kazan – 54% more
than in 2021.
In total, 272.2
billion rubles of taxes were collected in Kazan in 2021. Of these, 120.5
billion rubles (44.3%) were transferred to the budget of the Russian
Federation, 133.7 billion rubles (49.1%) to the budget of Tatarstan and 18
billion rubles (6.6%) to the budget of Kazan.
For 2023,
revenues and expenditures of the Kazan budget were approved in the amount of
37.8 billion rubles. The main part, almost 31 billion rubles, comes from the
expenses of the social and cultural sphere. Another 3.4 billion rubles will be
allocated for all-state needs and national security, 3.1 billion rubles – for
the national economy, housing and utilities and environmental protection
measures.
