The Kazan City Hall hosted the award ceremony Star Ticket at the
Aksyonov-fest. The winners were Anna Korolyova, Yekaterina Zlatorunskaya and
Sergey Skuratovsky in the categories music, prose and poetry. The winners were
congratulated by the Mayor of Ilsur Metshin.
“Vasily Aksyonov is a legendary man who was born on beautiful land. A
man with a difficult fate and a wonderful character. He was not just a leader
of the sixties, but an idol in many parts of the world. He traveled a lot
around Russia and abroad. We have heard many interesting stories and continue
to hear them with pride and love for Vasily Aksyonov,”- Ilsur Metshin said,
opening the ceremony.
As the mayor noted, over the years Aksyonov-fest has discovered many new
talents. These are Guzel Yakhina, the author of the famous novel “Zuleikha
Opens Her Eyes”, and the writer Denis Osokin, the author of the novel “Oatmeal”.
“During the festival, they have become dear to us. I'm looking forward
to new names. The walls of the City Hall cannot accommodate everyone, but let's
expand our horizons so that there are more people who want to write and those
who want to read. As Mayor, I promise to do everything for this!”- the head of
the city assured and thanked the organizers and participants of the Aksyonov–fest.
The winner of the Star Ticket in the “Poetry” nomination, Sergey
Skuratovsky is the author of the collection of poems “The Shining Thistle”, the
laureate of the international youth prize “Lyceum”. The award was presented to
him by the editor-in-chief of the literary and artistic magazine “October”
Irina Barmetova.
Yekaterina Zlatorunskaya, a graduate of the schools of prose and drama,
including the literary school of the magazine “October”, the author of the
collection of works “But a Miracle Happens”, won in the nomination “Prose”. The
Star Ticket award was handed to her by Denis Osokin.
The Star Ticket in the nomination “Music” was awarded to Anna Korolyova,
a jazz saxophonist, vocalist and composer. The award was to be presented to her
by a close friend of Vasily Aksyonov – saxophonist, People's Artist of Russia
Alexey Kozlov, who created the legendary jazz-rock ensemble Arsenal. However,
he could not attend this year's festival and sent a letter of congratulations
to the winner. In it, the musician told about his acquaintance with Vasily
Aksyonov and about their common love for jazz and Kazan.
A real surprise for the spectators became a special concert program by
Larisa Dolina. Vasily Aksyonov has always been in love with jazz, so the People's
Artist of Russia performed popular jazz compositions.
“Thank you for loving jazz! Thank you, Kazan, I wish you all the best.
Live in the rhythm of music!”, – Larisa Dolina said in conclusion.
