The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin together with his spouse Gulnara
Metshina took part in the presidential elections. They dropped their election ballots
at polling station - 340 in the building of the Kazan State Institute of
Culture at 3 Orenburg tract.
“Polling stations opened in Kazan on a sunny morning. And I urge all our
residents to show social activity and vote for the future of Kazan, Tatarstan,
Russia, choose our president and build a new happy life together,”- Ilsur
Metshin addressed the voters.
There are 466 election points in Kazan, including 31 in places of
temporary residence of citizens. They opened today at 8 am and will continue to
work until 20:00, according to the same schedule, those wishing to vote will be
accepted at the polling stations on March 16 and 17.
In total, there are more than 927 thousand voters in the capital of
Tatarstan.
All polling stations are equipped with video surveillance cameras. In
areas where there is no such technical possibility, video recorders and mobile
equipment with a permanent video recording are used. Polling stations were also
equipped with metal detectors.
All those who voted will be able to take advantage of free travel by
public transport thanks to a bracelet, which are given at polling stations. It
will be valid for all three days of the presidential election.
For reference, on March 17, Ivanushki International, Kar-Man, Vanya
Dmitrienko and other famous performers will perform at a family festival at the
Ak Bars Arena stadium. Also, an entertainment program will be held for children
at 20 sites in Kazan, and a fair will be held at 170 sites.
In addition, a drawing of three cars will be held in Kazan as part of
the photo contest.
