Kazan took first place in the
average score of the Unified State Exam among the major cities in the Volga
region. The average score in Kazan amounted 69.3, this was higher than in
Samara (67.4), Perm (63.9), Nizhny Novgorod (62.5), Volgograd (59.5), and Ufa
(59). This results were reported by Irek Rizvanov, head of Kazan Education
Department, to the Mayor of Kazan.
In addition, the average scores for two key subjects in Kazan were also
higher than national averages – the Russian language (67.1 in
Kazan and 63.88 nationwide) and mathematics (70.5 in Kazan and 62.55
nationwide).
As many as 159 students
achieved 100 points in the Unified State Exam, nine of them obtained the
highest score in two subjects. These students are: Ramil Shakirov from Lobachevsky school ( Mathematics and Physics), Sofia Balandina from school №116
(Russian Language and Chemistry), Victoria
Gusyatnikova from KNRTU-KAI Boarding School (Russian Language and
Mathematics), Ksenia Yemelkina from school
№37 (Russian Language and Literature), Timur
Kagarmanov (Mathematics and Physics), Kamil
Shamazov from school №7 (Mathematics and Computer Science), David Khaziev from school №177
(Mathematics and Computer Science), Polina
Romanenko (Russian, Literature, and History) from school №18. The number of
students who scored 100 in chemistry, English, mathematics, and literature has
increased.

In 2024, every fourth graduate
became a medalist. As many as 659 graduates were awarded the «For special
achievements» award, with 582 receiving the first degree and 87 receiving the
second.
Kazan students continue to
achieve high results in Science Olympiads. At the final stage of the All-Russia
Olympiad for schoolchildren, 148 students became winners and medalists, while
Gimran Abdullin won a gold medal in the international Computer Science Olympiad.
Talented children and their teachers were rewarded with prizes totaling nearly
50 million rubles.
The new Science Olympiad
season has begun, with 461 students winning or placing in the top spots in 11
different subjects at the regional stage of the Higher Education Olympiad.
