In the spring in the village of the Universiade will begin to build a public center
Today in the Mayor's Office of Kazan was considered the preliminary project of the public centre of the future village of the Universiade.
The discussion was attended by the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, head of Department of architecture and urban planning Vladimir Fomin, chief architect Tatiana Prokofieva, representative of the company-developer of the project «AuS Architecture and Urban Systems» Stanislava Boskovic, who is a partner and assistant to the chief architect of Barcelona, José Asebilo, mayor of the Kazan Universiade village Farid Abdulgani and the mayor of the Belgrade Universiade village Ranko Tepavchevich.
Public center of Universiade village will be used as the international center, where will pass the accreditation of athletes, will be located offices of coordinating services and the directorate of the Universiade. It is planned that the center also will be a concert hall on two thousand people, conference rooms, canteens, medical unit and other services.
At the presentation participants vigorously discussed the technical conditions and parameters necessary for the normal functioning of the center.
During the discussion Mayor of Kazan has repeatedly stressed: "Every square meter of the public center have to serve most effectively during the World Student Games and be beneficial to the campus after the Universiade. We must determine the optimal area to accommodate all the necessary functional things and other useful infrastructure."
Professor Asebilo absolutely supports the Mayor on the effective use of every square meter of the center. He also understands how the center will be useful during the Games and for the campus and for the entire city. The main thing for developers of the project – the public centre should sustain correct balance between different functions: infrastructure of life support as well as recreation and entertainment. The correct balance of all the functions determines the further success of this project ", - noted one of the developers of the project Stanislava Boskovic.
In March of this year the project of the public centre should pass definitive discussion, then construction work will begin in the village of the Universiade.
