Today Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin appealed to citizens to take active part in the citywide Saturday community work day on April 17.
"I would like to appeal to all residents of our city, and above all - to the youth, workers of enterprises with a simple suggestion - in a businesslike way to clean all around. We are accustomed to the fact that our city is clean. It is high time that to a significant date - to the day of the 65th anniversary of the Victory - Kazan to become the cleanest city not only in the republic, but throughout the Russian Federation. I ask all to respond with all their heart and work hard for the good of our city "- called the head of the city.
Recall that from 1 April in Kazan started Month for sanitary cleaning and landscaping of the city. Last year the city cleaning during the Month was attended by over 120 thousand of Kazan, of which more than 50 thousand people participated in the citywide Saturday clean-up.
