Ilsur Metshin: "Our city must be the cleanest one in the country"

In the next five years Kazan has to become the cleanest and greenest city in Russia, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor noted today during the cleaning of the voluntary clean-up of the city. The Mayor himself took an active part in planting of one of the parks in the Azino district.
"I am very glad that people of Tatarstan and in particular of Kazan regardless of age: schoolchildren, students, and employees of enterprises of different ownership forms, and just residents of micro districts – all of them come onto the streets in order to refine their hometown. There is a feeling for me that people have become an organic whole and consider that their duty is to go out and to clean the city. I want us to live with the knowing that everyone should protect his city and take care of him. Otherwise none of the budget will be enough for Kazan improvement. Each of us must feel a part of our native city", Ilsur Metshin said.
"We must make Kazan the cleanest and greenest city in Russia. This is a challenging but a realizable task, and not in decades but in the next five years. This goal we must achieve altogether”, Ilsur Metshin summed up.
