Ilsur Metshin awarded the winners of the competition for the scholarships of the Mayor of Kazan

(Kazan City KZN.RU, December 23, Zilya Gayfi). In the capital of Tatarstan the contest of research and scientific-practical works on competition of scholarship of Mayor of Kazan among pupils, students and graduate students is summed up. The Mayor Ilsur Metshin awarded winners in the capital City Hall today. The ceremony was attended by First Deputy Head of the Executive Committee on urban policy Azat Nigmatzyanov, Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of the Social Affairs Natalia Grechannikova, chairman of the Committee on Children and Youth Affairs Sergei Mironov, the rector of the Volga Region State Academy of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism Yusup Yakubov and others.

This year's contest received 207 works, 88 of which got to the internal round in two sections: the socio-technical and humanitarian and natural sciences. As a result 39 authors were awarded with scholarships. 14 graduate students and 23 university students, 2 student colleges are among them. Also 30 students of children's music and art schools were recognized as the winners of the contest.

Ilsur Metshin noted the usefulness of research carried out by pupils, students and graduate students. "Today we have traditionally gathered to celebrate the scholarships of the most talented young men and women. New Year's Eve is an occasion to sum up. The outgoing year was successful, creative; much has been done. Our children delighted us. In Tatarstan and Kazan thanks to the President of the Republic a whole system of support of talented youth was set up. According to the number of victories in various competitions and contests Kazan guys set the tone throughout the country. I thank parents who raise their children and give all their soul to them. I am grateful to teachers, principals and rectors of educational institutions for the training of participants. The future of our city and of the republic depends on talented young people", - said the Mayor.

Rector of the Volga Region State Academy of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism Yusup Yakubov noted the importance of the competition for Kazan - one of the student’s cities in Russia. "Today in Kazan a big event is held - the promotion of talents. In the age of globalization and high-tech scientific knowledge is in demand. For Kazan, where there are so many high schools, it is important that students have the opportunity to realize their talents. Development of our city, the republic and the country largely depends on this", - he said.

Students and graduates presented scientific works of practical relevance and feasibility of the process of improvement of the city. Research aimed at the transformation of urban space, increasing the comfort level for people with health restrictions, received particular attention.

Recall, the competition for scholarships of Mayor of Kazan is held since 1994. In the sphere of research interests of young people is a huge range of socially significant and relevant topics from practice-oriented implementation of IT-technologies and use of new materials for construction to socially significant issues of education of the younger generation, as well as familiarity with the history of the city of Kazan.

This year the volume of scholarships for graduate students is 30 thousand rubles, for higher education students and professionals of youth associations - 20 thousand rubles, students of secondary schools - 10 thousand rubles, students of children's music and art schools - 10 thousand rubles.
