The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin got acquainted with
the work of the new Center of outpatient traumatology at the Central Municipal
Clinical Hospital -18 on Mavlyutov Street, 2. The medical facility, where
residents of the Vakhitovsky, Privolzhsky and Sovetsky districts of the city
can apply around the clock, is opened for patients since the end of last year,
replacing the old emergency room, which was located on Adel Kutuya str., 48.
The area of the building of the Center of outpatient traumatology
is 470 sq. m. The center is equipped with modern equipment, and the capacity is
150 visits per day.
“The Center of outpatient traumatology has more functionality
than the regular traumatology. We have the opportunity to make arthroscopy,
vascular ultrasound, and use a modern X-ray diagnostic system. The results are
transmitted via the internal network to the doctor’s computer. In general,
there is a huge difference between the new center and the old traumatology”, -
Rinat Zalaldinov, the head doctor of the Central Municipal Clinical
Hospital-18, told the Mayor.
According to R. Zalaldinov, 17 medical workers work in
the emergency room, including trauma -physicians, radiologists, X-ray lab
technicians and nurses. On average, 80 to 100 initial and 60-70 repeat patients
visit the center per day.
The flow of patients in the emergency room is separated.
Patients are examined for emergency and urgent cases in offices 1 and 2.
Between the offices, there is a room for applying plaster, in which two
patients can be accepted at the same time, which speeds up the process.
Rooms 3 and 4 are designed to accept patients on a
scheduled basis. Between the offices, there is a dressing room, which can also serve
as a small surgery room.
With an increase in the flow of emergency patients,
the offices can quickly be transformed to provide emergency care, the head
doctor said.
“Of course, it's like a spaceship. My mother worked in
health care, in the Central Clinical Hospital. There is a
great difference in what equipment the doctors had before and what we have now,
- said Ilsur Metshin. - Thank you for your work. It is very important for the
residents. Developing the infrastructure of medical institutions in the city
and improving the quality of their work is an important task that we have been
solving for several years, and we have already achieved a lot”.
