Kindergarten
No. 415 in Derbyshki has reopened after a renovation. The building underwent
comprehensive updates for the first time, including new utilities, roof and
facade repairs, as well as new windows and doors. Currently, 23 children are
enrolled, with new students arriving daily. The facility has a total capacity
of 95 children at five groups. The kindergarten works in cooperation with Tatar
Gymnasium No. with the Tatar language of education. Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin
inspected the preschool.
“After the renovation, the
kindergarten is truly as good as new,” said Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin. “But the
most important thing here is the new educational content. The kindergarten now
operates as a single complex with the Tatar Gymnasium, where both teaching and
upbringing are conducted in the children's native Tatar language. We have
created every condition for our children to discover their talents here, and
various clubs have been set up to suit every taste. We are happy to welcome the
children — 23 kids are already attending groups. I also want to thank the
construction workers. The renovation was done very efficiently and
beautifully.”
The kindergarten renovation
was carried out in two stages. The first phase was completed in 2025 under the
‘Family’ national project, with 65 million rubles allocated for general
construction, roof repairs, window replacement, and facade renovation. In 2026,
an additional 56 million rubles were provided from the republican budget. This
funding enabled the completion of interior finishing, the purchase of furniture
and equipment, and the improvement of the yard.
Within the two-story building
with a total area of 1,086 square meters, specialists reinforced the
foundation, repaired the roof, refurbished the facade and entrance areas, and
replaced the windows and doors. The project also included upgrading the engineering
networks — specifically the ventilation, power supply, and low-current systems.
Aigul Gusmanova, who heads
both the Tatar Gymnasium No. 11 and the kindergarten, noted that the preschool
has been operating since 1961 and formally merged with the gymnasium in 2023.
“The preschool attracts a diverse community,” she said. “It is chosen not only
by Tatar families, but also by people of other nationalities who want their
children to become familiar with the Tatar language and culture from an early
age.”
Following
the renovation, five groups were opened, including a nursery for children from
one and a half years old. Currently, 23 children are enrolled: 22 toddlers aged
three to seven, and one child under three. Six more are undergoing medical
check-ups prior to admission. Since the opening on October 1, kids have been
joining the groups gradually, with new children arriving every day.
