I.Metshin about Vacuummash: “Today, it continues to operate, as well as to grow steadily

The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin visited the Vacuummash plant today. The company, established in 1943, produces vacuum pumps for all industries. The head of the city inspected the workshops and learned about plans to build a foundry shop next year.

“Kazan is famous for its unique enterprises that form the basis for its industries, – the Mayor stressed. – These are the aircraft industry, the defense industry, electronics enterprises. Vacuummash is one of the pillars of its industry.

“I.Metshin noted that there are many young specialists in the company. “Young people are working here, it means that there is an interest in production. The company has its own department at the Kazan State Technical University”, - he said.

According to Yevgeny Kapustin, Director General of Vacuummash, the company performs large orders, including for the Vostochny Cosmodrome, which is located in the Amur region. More than 40% of the products are exported. “The Vacuummash Company is not well known in Kazan, but we produce vacuum pumps for Russia, the entire country, which are used in all industries. We are proud of what we are doing because we are producing pumps that allow us to compete with industry leaders,”-Yevgeny Kapustin stressed.

The head of the enterprise informed the Mayor that a large amount of work is planned for next year, including the construction of a foundry shop and the purchase of equipment, including imported.

Director General added that the company has a large number of its own developments and experimental designs. “We invite young engineers, technologists, today these are demanded professions for us. We produce many new products, high-tech and the most advanced. We are optimistic about the future. We are confident that with our competencies and capabilities we will have a lot of work,”- he concluded.

The Mayor of Kazan together with the head of the enterprise also visited the museum of the company, where equipment manufactured in the past and modern samples are presented.

“Its own know-how and design bureau, thanks to which the company confidently works on the market. It is clear that there are challenges, but in general, the city's economy and the industrial production index have grown by 9% in 10 months. In any case, this is a good growth, thanks to such enterprises as Vacuummash,”- I. Metshin summed up

Deputy Head of the Executive Committee Ildar Shakirov and head of the administration of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts Albert Salikhov accompanied the head of the city during the visit.

For reference, from January to September in Kazan, the industrial production index increased by 8.8%. During this period, the city's enterprises shipped goods of their own production, performed works and provided services for 441 billion rubles, which is 8% higher compared to 2021.

According to the results of the first half of the year in the capital of the republic of Tatarstan, investments in fixed assets reached 86.6 billion rubles. This is 17.5% more than in 2021. The volume of investments attracted by large and medium-sized enterprises amounted to 63.4 billion rubles, which is almost 24% higher than in 2021.
