The students were awarded with scholarships by the Mayor of Kazan at the
City Hall today. Postgraduates and students were encouraged for research in the
housing and utilities services, construction, transport, digital and information
technologies, medicine, architecture, culture, economics, sports and tourism.
The achievements of students of children's music, art and sports schools were
also mentioned. In total, 93 students received awards from the head of the city
Ilsur Metshin.
“The competition for personal scholarships of the Mayor of Kazan is gaining
popularity every year, it is important for us to support talented young people
in creative search and help them in theoretical and practical research,”- Ilsur
Metshin said.
2023 was declared the Year of the Teacher and Mentor in Russia, so
people who helped young talents were honored at the ceremony. “The profession
of a teacher is one of the most noble. You teach, educate, inspire, and form
the future of our country, republic, and city. Today, the intellectual,
creative and sports talents of Kazan came here, as well as their mentors, who
give an example of dedication to the chosen cause,”- the head of the city
addressed the participants of the ceremony.
237 applications from students and postgraduates were submitted for the
competition which was established 30 years ago. One hundred and two
participants entered the live stage. They were evaluated by a commission of 23
experts. Sixteen graduate students and resident doctors will receive
scholarships in the amount of 50 thousand rubles, 20 university students and
members of youth public associations – 35 thousand rubles each, two students of
professional educational institutions – 20 thousand rubles each.
The winners of the previous competitions came to congratulate the
holders of the 2023 scholarships. Diana Guryanova and Elizaveta Noskova,
together with Sofia Galkina, who became a scholarship student this year,
performed the song as part of the creative trio Khasite. They are students of
the Z.V.Khabibullin Children's Music School - 7.
For excellent studies and creative achievements, scholarships were
awarded to Kamil Bagaviev, Elina Varaksina, Amelia Varshavskaya, Kamilla
Gabdullazyanova, Sofia Galkina, Liana Gafiyatullina, Evelina Gimadeeva and
others.
For excellent studies and success in research were awarded: Adelia
Akhmadullina, Yulia Bartova, Arina Bikmetova, Dilara Valieva, Daniil Vybornov,
Garey Kaliullin, Ilnaz Garibzyanov, Elizaveta Gonzova, Svetlana Zagitova, Timur
Karimullin.
A special scholarship from the Mayor of Kazan was awarded to graduate
students Andrei Belyakov, Yulia Bikayeva, Aisyla Ganieva, Alina Garayeva,
Rashid Diyarov, Dmitry Erokhin, Svyatoslav Klementyev, Lutzia Kupkenova, Nikita
Mayorov, Yegor Novitsky, Karina Salakhova, Ilnur Khusnutdinov, Gulnaz
Shaimullina and Diana Shaikhutdinova.
“Talent needs great perseverance, and you, dear fellows, have proved
that our city has the most gifted minds. Kazan, as a youth development center,
is the flagship of interesting and useful initiatives for our entire republic,”-
the Mayor said in his speech.
