The Our Yard program has been completed by two-thirds in Kazan. This year, as many as 418 yards is planned to be improved in the city: road works have already been completed at 189 yards. The largest area under the renovation is located in the Sovetsky city district, which includes 16 yards and 20 apartment buildings. The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin inspected the progress of the repair work.

A block in the Sovetsky district has become the largest improvement project of this year under the Our Yard program. Krasnaya Pozitsiya, Gvardeyskaya, Gastello, and Adelya Kutuya streets, where 2,800 residents live in twenty houses, bound it. 24,000 square meters of roads and more than 18,000 square meters of yard areas will be renovated. Five playgrounds and three sportsgrounds will be installed. As many as 755 parking spaces will be equipped, 139 new outdoor lighting poles will be installed, as well as 268 elements of improvement, such as benches and small architectural forms.
“We implement a comprehensive approach to the improvement, which allows us not only to renew the roads and install new lighting, but also to create a unified and well-balanced space. Today, we have inspected the progress at the largest area that is being improved under the Our Yard program. This includes 20 houses on Krasnaya Pozitsiya Street and 16 yards. They are connected by a unified concept and new pedestrian routes, - said the Mayor of the city, Ilsur Metshin. “The small architectural forms have already been installed. Previously, we imported these items, but now our manufacturers produce them for us. Most importantly, children are already enjoying playing on the playgrounds. There is plenty of space for recreation and walking at a new green boulevard.”
The construction work is nearing completion, with 97% of the asphalted area completed and more than 90% of the outdoor lighting installed. The installation of small architectural forms is underway.
