The grant support program for young teachers is being
expanded in Kazan: the number of recipients will be increased from 50 to 100. The
Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin informed about it during the annual pedagogical conference
at school № 95.
The amount of the grant has been increased from 30,000
to 100,000 rubles. The funds are intended for professional development –
training or the purchase of methodological books and manuals.
«In Kazan, we have provided grant support for young
teachers for several years and we will expand the program. Every year, 100 young
teachers will receive this support. It is important for us that the grant is
not a one‑time payment, but part of the professional development of our young
colleagues», – said the Mayor of Kazan.
The Mayor also reported that 1,301 young teachers
joined the education system in Kazan over the course of a year. «It is not enough to hire a person. It is
important to help them integrate into the team, provide them with a mentor,
support them in their first years, identify their strengths, and create
conditions for development. Young teachers shape the future of our education system»,
– said Ilsur Metshin.
Applications for the grant will begin in September.
