Last week was by marked an important event for Kazan – in Moscow was held the regular meeting of the Organizing committee of the Universiade-2013 under the chairmanship of the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Igor Shuvalov. The meeting was attended by all members of the Organizing committee including President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin.
Recall that during the meeting a report on preparations for the World Summer Student Games in 2013 and construction of sports infrastructure has been sounded. Also were noted positive results of a number of inspections conducted by FISU (International University Sports Federation).
"There were no complaints about the course of construction of the Universiade objects - a good pace of construction and its quality were noted", - said Ilsur Metshin at today's Business Monday. "It is good at a meeting First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov has expressed support for a fast decision on the transport maintenance of the Universiade-2013. Solving of this issue is very important and desirable for all of us. About 39 billion rubles should be allocated for this purpose: of which 23 billion – from the federal budget, 16 billion – from the money of the republic, including the municipality. The final decision on this matter would be taken by early September,"- said Ilsur Metshin.
