He indicated beauty of the city. “I was very glad to see that the Orthodox and Catholics, Christians and Muslims live here in harmony. There are so many conflicts in the world, it is important to see the city where people of different religions co-exist peacefully.
The unofficial visit of the Chairman of the Council for Promoting Christian Unity Cardinal Walter Kasper to Russia started on May 21. The visit program includes visit to some Russian cities, participation in Catholic and Orthodox events, meeting with hierarchs of Russian Orthodox Church and Catholic communities.
