Queue to Kazan kindergartens will drop off
(KZN.RU, January 11, Ekaterina Andreeva). One of the most urgent problems is a number of places in the kindergartens of the capital of Tatarstan. So in the queue there are about 25,000 children totally in the country; most of them - 17,000 - are very young Kazan citizens. The situation may change for better this year - Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan has decided to allocate funds for kindergartens construction and reconstruction. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan has announced about it today during the past meeting in the Executive Committee of the city.
According to the head of the city, the issue of providing Kazan children with places to kindergartens will be decided in three ways. Namely: to finish kindergartens (there are 3 unfinished kindergartens in the city), to build new institutions (it is provided the erection of 5 kindergartens). In addition 7 kindergartens that have been given to different organizations will be returned.
As Ilsur Metshin reported there are 22 sites for kindergartens construction in Kazan. Basically places where people need them are Sovetsky, Privolzhsky, Novo-Savinovsky districts, where the active construction of commercial housing and housing under the social mortgage programs are conducted.
"We intend to work seriously in this direction, and under the support of the Government of Tatarstan and the President of the Republic we can seriously reduce the turn to preschools this year", Ilsur Metshin said.
