Ilsur Metshin visited the final championship of Russia on hockey

(Kazan City KZN.RU, April 19, Anton Nozdrin). Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin visited the final of the championship of Russia on hockey among children born in 2003. In the decisive game for the trophy Kazan "Ak Bars" and the Moscow club "Rus" fought at the Ice Palace "Golden Puck".

Before the game the Mayor went to the locker room of the Kazan team and wished good luck to the young athletes. Ilsur Metshin thanked the players for the finals. "Kazan is behind you. We will support you, "- the Mayor of Kazan encouraged children.

The final match turned out to be stressful. Teams tried to have more control over the puck and carry out meaningful attacks. At the beginning of the first period, the advantage was on the side of the Moscow team, but Kazan team, supported by fans, was able to seize the initiative and create a series of poignant moments. Confident game in the line of attack allowed "Ak Bars" to throw 2 goals in the first period. However, the Muscovites were able to turn the game in their favor. In the second period "Rus" reduced the gap, and in the third segment of the game Moscow players scored 2 more goals, making the score 3: 2. The second half of the third period Kazan residents held in constant attacks, at the end of the match they replaced the goalie for the sixth field player, but the club of Tatarstan capital failed  to level the score. "Ak Bars", losing in the final match, won the silver medal of the championship of Russia.

Final tournament started in Kazan on April 13. For the grand prize 8 teams - winners of the regional tournaments and team-hostess fought. The capital of Tatarstan was represented by two clubs - "Ak Bars" and "Dynamo".

Together with the Mayor of Kazan today's final game head of the Executive Committee of the city Denis Kalinkin, the first deputy head of the Executive Committee Damir Fattakhov, head of the Executive Committee of Kazan Igor Sivov, Chairman of Kazan Committee for Physical Culture and Sports Svetlana Vostrikova, head of the administration of Aviastroitelny and New Savinovsky districts Timur Alibaev and President of Hockey Federation in Kazan Andrei Ryabov watched.

Recall, the ice arena "Golden Puck", located at st. Gavrilov, 48a, opened September 9, 2015. Certificate for the construction of the facility was awarded to the city for the victory of the Kazan team "Kazan Dragons" at the Russian hockey festival among amateur teams in Sochi in 2013. Ice arena is one of the most socially important facilities of the Youth residential complex of neighborhood M26 of Novo-Savinovsky district.
