Kazan will be reduced by 25-30% in 2018. This is due to the new requirements of
state standards. Irina Dyabilkina, the head of outdoor advertising and
information of the city, said this today at the Business Monday in the Kazan
Executive Committee.

Dyabilkina reported that the outdoor advertising design of middle, large and
extra-large formats is expected to reduce by 25-30%. This is due to changes in
city planning situation in Kazan, the mandatory application of standards GOST,
limiting the installation of advertising structures in the historic areas of
the city, as well as the fulfillment of obligations to the Russian organizing
committee of 2018 and the International Federation of Football. Typology of
outdoor advertising structures will retain the same level of world standards:
euro shields, supersites and others. The main changes will affect the
transition of advertising on the electronic surface and the high-tech.
She noted
that the timing of 94% of contracts with entrepreneurs on advertising will end
in February 2018, just three months before the World Cup. In this regard,
management of outdoor advertising and information will hold a large-scale
auction on placement of outdoor advertising structures in the beginning of
2018.
