The Mayor of
Kazan Ilsur Metshin visited the Tatchempharmpreparaty Company, where a full cycle
of formulation development, production and packaging of pharmaceutical products
is organized. The sanctions did not affect the work of the production, since
the raw materials are supplied from friendly countries – China and India.
Moreover, the management plans to modernize the equipment, which will allow
increasing the volume of products.
This year, the
industrial production index of Kazan has risen by 8.8%. From January to
September, the city's enterprises shipped goods, performed works and rendered
services in the amount of 441 billion rubles. JSC Tatchempharmpreparaty also
contributed to the increase in the industrial production index of Kazan. This year,
their revenue amounted to 3.29 billion rubles.
The production
complex Tatchempharmpreparaty was established in 1931, it consists of two
plants: chemical-pharmaceutical and suture surgical materials plants. Another
area of activity is services for the licensed and contract production of
pharmaceutical products of a full cycle – from design development to packaging.
More than 1 thousand people work in the company.
The Mayor of
Kazan visited the workshops of the enterprise, where the Director General of
JSC Tatchempharmpreparaty Timur Khannanov told Ilsur Metshin about the
production. Thus, according to the Director General, the production capacity
and scientific and technical potential of the enterprise allows to produce more
than 130 items of medicines in the form of tablets, tinctures, ointments,
syrups and pastes. “Every year we produce 1.5 billion tablets, as well as 20
million packages of ointments and drops,”- T. Khannanov noted. In the near
future, the company plans to renew the equipment, which will increase
production volumes. Now the company is looking for new suppliers.
Timur Khannanov
informed that Tatchempharmpreparaty produces suture surgical materials,
including catgut suture. The products are supplied not only to the regions of
the country, but also to Belarus, Latvia, Mongolia, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan,
Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia.
As for foreign pharmaceutical
companies, they continue to supply products. The pharmaceutical niche has not
been vacated, so the demand for our products has remained at the same level. In
spring, when residents decided to buy medicines in advance, there was a rush,
but now there is no,”- the Director General noted. According to the results of
the first nine months of this year, the industrial production index was 140%.
During the
visit, the Mayor of Kazan was accompanied by the deputy head of the Executive
Committee of Kazan, Ildar Shakirov, and the head of the administration of the
Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts, Sergey Mironov.
