Ilsur Metshin,
the Mayor of the city, personally congratulated the family of a mobilized citizen of Kazan, on the upcoming New Year. The head of the city
visited his wife and children and presented gifts, which the children asked at
the charity event “Letter to Father Frost”.
“Last week, we visited the Good Kazan co-working,
where I saw a Tree of Wishes. A boy wrote in one of the letters that he wanted
to learn to skate. It was a pleasure for me to fulfill this wish, because I
used to play hockey. The significance of the first skates and a stick is
incomparable,”- Ilsur Metshin shared. He handed 11-year-old Daniil skates, a
stick, a branded jersey of the Ak Bars hockey club with the boy's last name and
his favorite number “88”. Daniil also received as a gift a pass to attend the
club's games until the end of the season.
Daniil's sister,
16-year-old Alyona, dreamed of portable charger and wireless headphones. The gifts
were presented to her by Ilsur Metshin as well.
According to the
wife of the mobilized Marina, Daniil's father promised to buy skates
last winter, but he did not have time to do it – at the end of October Vladimir
was called up for service. He is a veteran of combat operations in Chechnya. “When
the partial mobilization began, there was not even a thought that he would
refuse to serve. We agreed with his decision, but we worry about him,”- Marina said. “Thank you for the support provided by the city and the Good
Kazan, it would be hard without her,”- she said. According to Marina,
now her husband is in a combat zone, he calls home not often.
“You should be
proud of your father, he serves his country. Let’s hope that he will return
home alive, healthy, and that there will be peace,”- I. Metshin said, addressing,
the children of the mobilized.
During the visit,
the Mayor of the city asked the guys who they want to become in the future.
Alyona said that she wants to study medical science. “Since childhood I wanted
to help people, and a few years ago I became interested in human anatomy. It
seems to me that my vocation is to become a doctor. Since grade 9, I have been
diligently preparing for the Unified State Exam in specialized sciences –
chemistry and biology,”- the schoolgirl noted. Ilsur Metshin said that he also
dreamed of becoming a doctor. “My mom worked as a nurse. I put on her medical
gown, walked around in it and imagined that I was a doctor,”- the Mayor reminded.
Daniil, due to
his age, has not yet decided what profession he would like to choose, but he
studies well. “At the core of everything is a lot of work, this is the only way
to realize any talent,”- Ilsur Metshin admonished him.
The Mayor of the
city interested about the plans to celebrate the New Year. Marina said
that they will celebrate New Year with family – with children and grandmothers.
“I will miss my husband very much,”- the spouse of the mobilized shared. “The
most important thing is for him to come back, everything else is temporary
hardships. May you have no fear for your husband, may the year be happy,”- the
Mayor wished at the end of the meeting.
Guzel Sagitova, Deputy
head of the Executive Committee of the city, and Albert Salikhov, head of the administration
of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts of Kazan, accompanied the Mayor
during the visit.
