The unemployment rate in the capital of Tatarstan remains at a record low of 0.19%. Over the past year, more than 9,000 citizens have applied to employment centers, 6,000 of them have found work. The average job search period has been reduced from four to three months. Timur Mullin, Director of the Employment Center of Tatarstan, reported on this at a staff meeting.
«The labor market situation is not easy. This is also due to the demographic hole of the 90s, the shortage of young professionals, as well as the difficulties of the sanctions economy. Almost all industries are experiencing a shortage of personnel: our city enterprises are no exception. Especially when it comes to young professionals. At the same time, budgetary institutions have the opportunity to gain experience. We all started from the ground up, from specialist positions, and that is where we improve our skills and work with the personnel reserve. Of course, it is necessary to have patience, a desire to serve people and be part of a team that solves challenging tasks», – said Ilsur Metshin.
The number of officially registered unemployed in the city is about 1,289 people. The increase in the number of unemployed compared to the same period last year is insignificant – only 96 people.
The labor market demands for qualified specialists in a number of key industries. Among the more than 11,000 open vacancies, employers are actively looking for personnel in construction, manufacturing, education and science, trade, transport and logistics, hospitality and catering, as well as healthcare. The average salary for these vacancies reaches about 80 thousand rubles.
