Today, the Mayor of Ilsur Metshin took part at a meeting of the Coordinating Council of Humanitarian Organizations and summed up the work for 2025. The amount of aid collected increased by 40%. Besides sending humanitarian cargo, the Council also implements technical developments for the needs of the fighters. Last year, 50,000 first-aid kits and stretchers were shipped to the soldiers, as well as more than 2,300 guns. In addition, volunteers arranged a systematic production of camouflage nets and trench candles to support military personnel. The meeting participants discussed the results of the activities of volunteer associations and their contribution to the support of military personnel and civilians.
The Coordinating Council was established after the first forum «Kazan for SVO». It has become a single platform for combining the efforts of the municipal and republican humanitarian associations. The council includes the heads of charitable and volunteer organizations, whose candidacies were proposed by the volunteer community.
Ilsur Metshin noted that the decision to establish the Council was very effective. «It has been a year since we decided to establish a Coordinating Council. No doubt, we are on the right track. The residents of Kazan carried out large-scale and extensive work. By visiting different locations, we had an opportunity to see how people are involved in this business in different ways. All of them are united by one thing — a call of the heart, caring and a sincere desire to bring our Victory closer, – Ilsur Metshin noted. – You have shown your best skills in this challenging time for the country. Our Coordinating Council brought together very different people, but we were all united by the urge to help».
