In Kazan, the reconstruction of the entrance to the Leninsky Garden at the monument to A. Butlerov has been completed by 50%. The old pavement was dismantled, concrete work was carried out, lighting and water supply networks for automatic irrigation were laid, paving stones were laid around the monument. Trees and shrubs are being planted, stairs and lighting are being renovated. The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin inspected the progress of the work.
“Thanks to the support of the Rais of Tatarstan, we are developing the infrastructure in Kazan, creating new comfortable parks and squares. One of these projects is the renovation of the park near the Kazan Federal University. We are making this place more beautiful and safer: we are changing the traffic plan, expanding the green area and installing new lighting. The entrance to the Leninsky Garden will become more convenient and comfortable, we have provided landscaping and the installation of new benches. We plan to complete all work by the Day of the city. We hope that the renovated square will delight Kazan residents, students, and our tourists,”- said the Mayor of Kazan.
The renovation covers an area over 1,700 square meters. The old asphalt and tile pavement has already been dismantled there.
A fully recreation area will be developed in the park: it is planned to plant 816 shrubs and 15 trees, including elms, maple, lilac, viburnum, dogwood and hazel. The square will be equipped with new poles, streetlights and an artistic lighting system for trees and the monument.
Eight benches and four urns will be installed, as well as a video surveillance system to ensure security. Special attention is also paid to historical education: an information stand will tell about the scientific achievements of A. Butlerov.
The renovated square will become a new point of attraction for students, residents and tourists.
