I. Metshin: "No petard is worth mutilated hands and eyes"
(KZN.RU, December 14, by Ekaterina Andreyeva) An emergency fire prevention regimen, which will last from December 15 to February 1, has been launched in Tatarstan and its capital. Kazan residents need to understand the necessity of certain limitations on the use of pyrotechnics, since the adopted document is aimed primarily at preserving the residents' life and health. This opinion was expressed at today's Business Monday meeting by Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin.
"The President's decision is dictated by concern for the people. Many lose vigilance and caution during the Holiday Season and endanger not only themselves but others too. And no matter what manufacturer's instructions say, these are dangerous products. Neither firecrackers nor fireworks are worth mutilated hands and eyes. And, unfortunately, such things do happen," said the Mayor.
