Ilsur Metshin: "It is gratifying to see new stars on our stage"
(KZN.RU, March 28, by Taisiya Basharkina) This year's Grand Prix winner of the city round of Tatarstan's pop art youth festival "Sozvezdie (Constellation) - Yoldyzlyk" was the duet “Serious Guys” -- Ignat Izotov and Dmitry Kunakov. This was announced at the festival gala concert. Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin was present in the audience.
“Sozvezdie” is a gorgeous festival with a wonderful atmosphere. It is gratifying to see new stars on our stage," said the head of the city, greeting the participants.
The young performers aged 5 to 21 competed in the "SoloVocals", "Ensemble Vocals", "Dance" and "Compere" categories.
Ilsur Metshin emphasized that there were no losers on the stage because that's where the youngsters learned to develop their talents. "Wide-open vistas lie ahead of you; some of you may become big stars and glorify our Kazan, Tatarstan and maybe even Russia on the world stage. May your hearts and souls always be filled with songs – kind, sunny and happy," the Mayor wished the participants.
