Kazan students win All-Russian contest "Safe Wheel 2014"
(Kazan, KZN.RU, July 7, by Zilya Gafityatullina). A team from Tatarstan won the national stage of the competition "Safe Wheel 2014" held in Moscow from June 22 to 29, Rustam Ibragimov, the chief of Kazan traffic police, announced at today's Business Monday meeting.
The educational competition dedicated to the study of traffic rules by children of 10-12 years of age was attended by over 350 students from 85 regions of Russia. The Tatarstan team had the highest score among the competitors. Next, the Kazan students will represent Russia at the European educational competition in Oslo (Norway) to be held in September this year.
Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin congratulated the children on a well-deserved victory. "I wish you success in the European competition. I want to thank the city and the republic traffic police for their great work on the prevention of children's offenses on the road. It is important that wins in contests bear fruit, that our children know how to behave safely on the roads," said the mayor.
