At first in 2010 Mayor of Kazan toured the facilities of the Universiade
Today, 2 January, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin made the first working detour of construction projects for the Universiade in 2013 and asked about the pace of their construction.
Currently in preparation for the World Student Games in Kazan the construction of 17 sports facilities and village of Universiade is underway. The Mayor was interested in that the full resumption of work were at all sites, it had been suspended only for 2 days in the New Year holidays. How the participants of detour convinced, today full working day is at all the sites.
Mayor of Kazan gave an assessment of the contractors on the pace of work undertaken. With his participation were solved accumulated current working issues. According to contractors in 2010 the first sports facilities will be put into operation in the spring for the May holidays.
In addition the Mayor asked questions about the project of major sports facilities like a football stadium, a center of water sports and rowing canal. At present these sites are at active preparatory work, and it is planned that construction will unfold in 2010. Also this year will be deployed the large-scale work on construction and development of road transport infrastructure, for which in the end of the 2009 was allocated 3 billion rubles in the form of budgetary loans to Kazan.
