Ilsur Metshin remembered his school years at the Museum of the Happy Childhood

(KZN.RU, June 1, Zilya Gayfi). At the International Children's Day the Mayor of Kazan visited the Museum of Happy Childhood, nostalgically remembered his school years and left his hockey helmet and stick as a gift to the museum.

Museum of Happy Childhood has been opened this spring in the ХIХ century mansion near the Bauman Street. As the Museum of the Socialist Lifestyle it is the one in Russia, opened in memory of the Soviet Union era.

The room at the first floor of the museum is almost entirely filled with exhibits on the Soviet childhood. A special feature of the museum is that it is completely interactive - visitors can wear red ties and knitted hats, flip any books, sit on bikes and jingle toys. Picking up a bottle of "Soviet" champagne filled with trifle, Ilsur Metshin nostalgically remembered his own childhood. "Whenever I went to the store, I used to ask the saleswoman to give me back a trifle. Coming home I used to put it in the bottle and collected  there from 193 to 197 rubles. After collecting a certain amount with my brothers, we have bought a tape recorder "Mayak-205" - told the mayor.

On the second floor of the museum there are slot machines and "Labyrinth of Life", which is a several rooms filled with articles of 70-80’s. There are also numerous gifts from famous people - Alexey Kortnev, Diana Arbenina, Guus Hiddink, Sergei Shnurov, Iosif Kobzon and others. Here they left toys, musical instruments, objects of school life with autographs  as a gift to Kazan city. Ilsur Metshin  have also left his autograph on a hockey helmet and stick.

Head of the city, inspired by this visit, said that the Museum of the Happy Childhood now is a new tourist highlight of Kazan. "Our childhood really was happy. An excursion into history through this exhibits gives an opportunity to plunge into the world of the Soviet childhood. We have to lead here our children to show  what toys their parents played. The Soviet Union was the great country, but the toys were all the same. I'm sure there will be a lot of visitors, "- said Ilsur Metshin. The museum's director, in his turn, thanked the head of the city for all the support to the museum.
