Ilsur
Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, and Konstantin Khabensky, a People's Artist of
Russia, launched a unique project “Literary Yards” today in the yard of the
house №83 on Amirkhan Prospect in Kazan. The famous actor, students of his
Kazan school-studio of creative development of children and adolescents, as
well as Kazan poets Liliya Gazizova and Boris Viner performed for the residents
and guests of the holiday.
Opening the
holiday, Ilsur Metshin noted that even the weather is happy with good
beginnings. “I congratulate everyone on the first rain that we have been
waiting for more than a month. When good, charitable deeds are done, the rain
also pours down. In my opinion, this is a remarkable event, with the initiative
of holding which the Union of Writers of the RT has acted. We gladly supported
this idea. There will be more than 20 of such literary yards in Kazan. Today I
invite to the stage our beloved actor under your applause. Konstantin Khabensky
is a person who does a lot for the development of culture in the country and in
our city”, said the Mayor.
“We came to
read poems from a pure soul. I think this is a very good undertaking. If every
resident begins to struggle for the right to hold a literary meeting in his
yard, within the framework of which they will read poetry, play music and write
paintings, it will be wonderful”, said Konstantin Khabensky.
The actor
thanked the Mayor of Kazan for supporting theatrical and literary projects.
“Our studio for the creative development of children and adolescents in Kazan
started four years ago with the support of Ilsur Metshin and his personal
participation. I thank you very much for it. In general, we cooperate with the
City Hall quite tightly. We are connected with Kazan by six years of close
friendship”, he said.
Konstantin
Khabensky also told about the nearest projects that will be held in Kazan with
the support of the Mayor. “Performances “Contrabass” and “Mowgli Generation”,
and the festival “Feather-2014” are held with the support of Ilsur Metshin.
What are these performances about? For example, “Contrabass” is a tragicomedy
story. We will play it in Kazan for the 15th time. But every time she touches
the viewer deeply”, shared the actor.
Poetry
festivals will be held weekly throughout the summer. The venue will be 20 yards
in different parts of the city. The project
Literary
Yards” continues the tradition of the festival“Book-fest”, recently held in the
Lyadskoy Sadik. It is implemented by the Kazan Mayor's Office in conjunction
with the Union of Writers of the R in the framework of the Year of Culture.
