I. Metshin on the eve of the WorldSkills Championship: “We are ready to rock”
Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, attended a rehearsal of the opening ceremony of the WorldSkills Championship Kazan 2019. The 300 best dancers of Kazan choreographic ensembles train under the direction of choreographer Zhanna Shmakova at the CLC Lenin for six hours a day.
The opening ceremony of the championship promises to be grand. With the help of high technology, spectators of a theatrical performance will be able to become participants in the action telling about people conquering the heights of excellence. The history of the formation of professionals will be conveyed through the language of dance.
The Mayor of Kazan mentioned the importance of the upcoming championship and noted that among the artists there are those who have repeatedly performed at world-class events: the Universiade 2013, the FINA and the World Cup. “I am very pleased to see familiar faces, people we have already held with more than one major event. It is important that we prepare the next world event with our creative forces. We are ready to rock”, I. Metshin addressed the artists.
The head of the city added that Kazan is ready for the championship. “We are working with a team of like-minded people. A lot of organizational work is approaching its final stage, and we are almost ready”, summed up I. Metshin.
