Irshat Minkin has been elected as the First Deputy of the Mayor of Kazan
(KZN.RU, October 27, Taisiya Basharkina). Irshat Minkin has been elected as the First Deputy of the Mayor of Kazan. Such a decision has been taken today by the deputies of the Kazan City Duma of the second convocation on the first session. Irshat Minkin has been elected unanimously by the open voting.
The First Deputy of the Mayor has been entrusted to exercise powers of the First Deputy Chairman of Kazan City Duma.
Oscar Prokopyev has become the Deputy of the Head of the Municipality. All the deputies also have voted for him. The Deputy of the Mayor has been asked to begin exercising power of the Deputy of the Chairman of Kazan City Duma.
Ilsur Metshin remarked humorously that Oscar Prokopyev is one of three unmarried members of Kazan City Duma of a new convocation. “At the end of the season everyone must put this situation right”, he added, “it is not necessary to look for a wife among the deputies".
