Show ‘On the Threshold of Universiade’ finished visit of FiSU evaluation commission
A unique show with participation over a thousand of participants was presented at Tatneft-Arena. Video-installation Cosmos started the show. Gymnasts and acrobats performed for the audience. A laser show and fireworks were prepared.
The show program was divided into 4 parts: Past, Present, Future and We Believe!. Rollers, break-dancers, air gymnasts and other sportsmen took part in the show. Young sportsmen who will take part in the Universiade-2013 walked a parade on the stage. The represented all sports of summer Universiade program.
FISU Vice-President Stefan Bergh, the head of Tatarstan Government Rustam Minnikhanov and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin made speeches at the event.
“Dear people of Kazan, dear friends,” Rustam Minnikhanov said. “Today the last day of FISU evaluation commission’s visit to Kazan is finishing. I can say that you have made a big step towards victory of Kazan in the bid for hosting of the Universiade-2013. Your attitude and feelings made considerable contribution in support of Kazan as a candidate-city.”
Stefan Bergh addressed the audience and said: “Students of Kazan, you are fantastic. I feel myself like a 100-per cent resident of Kazan today.”
The head of the delegation said that he has has three wonderful day. “Kazan is really ready for the Universiade of 2013. Your city has good chances to host the Universiade-2013,” he stated. “We have seen the most important thing for FISU – wishes, feelings. Please, preserve them in you souls and hearts.”
Ilsur Metshin was very laconic: “You are the best and we will win together. Hurray!”
A famous Russian pop-band Otpetiye Moshenniki finished the concert.
