Mayor of Kazan met with Consul General of Turkey in the capital of Tatarstan
(KZN.RU, December 17, Renat Shirmanov). Today in the City Hall of Kazan there has been the meeting of Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor with Ahmet Tuta, the Consul General of Turkey in Kazan.
Ilsur Metshin and Ahmet Tuta thanked each other for their cooperation and wished them a further success; the diplomatic mission of the Consul General of Turkey in Kazan came to an end.
"Kazanhas alwaysbeen veryimportant for Turkish diplomacyfrom the viewpoint ofconsularmissionfulfillment. It wasan honor for me toworkhere. I amgrateful forthe hospitalityrenderedinKazanas well as for theunderstandingwhichtheadministrationof Kazanshown duringour relationship", AhmetTutasaid in an interview with KZN.RU.
The Turkish diplomat said that besides formal meetings, personal contacts with people of Kazan are also very important. "We have always felt hospitability of the city's residents. Very sincere people live in Kazan, and this facilitated our work. I'll miss Kazan and definitely come here again", the Consul General of Turkey said.
Speaking about the most memorable events Ahmet Tuta mentioned the visits of the mayors of Istanbul and Antalya to the capital of Tatarstan. "In addition to our bilateral relations, of course, two games of Rubin and Barcelona which I have had a fortune to see here will be remembered for a long time. I can also mention the Cirque du Soleil show, the Creation of Peace rock festival as well as the city amateur championships in football which involve the staff of our consulate. In my opinion this are a very important events", Ahmet Tuta said. Note that the Consul General of Turkey in Kazan visited almost all the important sporting events in the city whether it is matches of the Premier League game of the country or the Continental Hockey League.
"I see that every day Kazan is becoming more recognizable city in the world. Mr Ilsur Metshin, the Head of Administration plays a large role in it. I believe that in coming years interest in Kazan will only increase. The number of tourists coming to Kazan amounts to 1 million, and I hope that in future their number will only be greater. Kazanhasthepotential", AhmetTuta said
In conclusion the Turkish Consul said that he will surely come to Kazan to see matches of the group stage of the World Cup to be held in our country in 2018. "Ilsur Metshin and I have discussed this topic and hope that in the final of the World Championship in Russia the home team will play with the Turkish national team", he said.
Ahmet Tuta has been the Head of the Consulate General of Turkey in Kazan since October 28, 2009.
