All actions on the improvement of territories, including the demolition of trees, must be carried out according to regulations and only with the permission of city authorities. Otherwise, they should be regarded as sabotage. This was announced by the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin today during the program "Subject" on the channel "Efir".
The program addressed the issue of unauthorized demolition of the trees in the Uritsky park. Recall, due to the blunder of a contractor in the park a few plants that have not posed a danger were cut down instead of emergency trees. Among others an old willow, that was a symbol of the Uritsky park, was demolished. This has caused justifiable outrage of the public.
Commenting on the actions of a negligent contractor, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin called them "sabotage". "This case is instructive and outrageous," - said the head of the city. At the same time, as the audit showed, sawed willow was hollow, rotten to the core, and the root system of the tree were destroying the foundation of the Uritsky House of Culture standing nearby.
