A new block
modular boiler house was put into operation at 33 Voenny Gorodok in the
Privolzhsky district of Kazan. It will provide heat and hot water to 3,300
residents of 11 apartment buildings and a dormitory. The estimated service life
is 25 years. The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin inspected the boiler house.
“The old
boiler house built in 1988 was replaced by a new, highly efficient modular
boiler house. It has been put into operation and provides heat to 3,300
residents of 11 residential buildings and a dormitory. It is important that it
has foreseen a 50% capacity reserve for future construction. We have done
everything necessary to provide residents with heat. Our heat supply companies are
fully equipped for winter season – a lot of preparatory work was carried out,
major repairs and construction of networks were completed so that Kazan passed
the heating season without any complaints or accidents”.
Previously,
the boiler house of the military unit provided heat supply to this neighborhood.
The equipment had reached its end of life and was in disrepair after 38 years
of operation. It was decided to build a new boiler house.
The
installed capacity of the boiler house is 10.5 MW (9.0 Gcal/h), the current
connected load is 5.04 MW, that is, about 48% of the capacity. The established
reserve will allow new facilities to be connected in the future, in particular,
two kindergartens planned for construction.
The length
of the new heating networks is 800 meters. The maximum temperature of the
coolant is 95 degrees.
The boiler
house operates in an automated mode according to the closed-loop principle:
external sensors record the air temperature, the central controller processes
the data and transmits commands to the actuators that adjust the operation of
the equipment. This allows maintaining the desired temperature and pressure,
ensure safety and optimize fuel consumption – without the constant presence of
an operator.
