Overhaul of polyclinic of City Hospital №16 is completed in Kazan

(Kazan City KZN.RU, December 24 Zilya Gaifi). Overhaul of polyclinic of City Clinical Hospital №16 is completed in Kazan. Communications, roofing and fire protection are fully renovated; repairs and finishing of the interior system are made in the institution, servicing about 17 thousand people. Mayor Ilsur Metshin praised the quality of medical care in the updated facility today. Head of the city was accompanied by the deputy head of the Executive Committee of the Social Affairs Natalia Grechannikova, head of the administration of Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts Damir Fattakhov, head of the Health Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan in Kazan for Ilnur Halfiev.

City Clinical Hospital №16, located at st. Gagarina, 121, is a multi-agency, providing routine and emergency medical care to residents of Kazan and Tatarstan for more than 30 years. The hospital has nine specialized departments, serving not only the residents of Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts, but also the population of the entire city. The structure of the institution enters a clinic, women's consultation, a maternity hospital and in-patient department.

Ilsur Metshin inspected all three floors of the polyclinic, where the offices of x-rays and clinical examination, dental, diagnostic and local services, pharmacy, doctors' offices, ENT Centre, pulmonologist and hematology centers, health center, laboratory and administration are located. In the offices where physicians accept the patients, the Mayor asked, whether they are satisfied with the conditions created in the clinic. According to the patients, there are no queues in the clinic; it is possible to make an appointment through the terminal of electronic services. Physicians, in turn, some of whom are non-resident, in particular from Izhevsk, Nizhnekamsk and other neighboring cities, are pleased that they have separate lounges. "The fact that specialists from other cities come to work for us says that really good conditions for the work of doctors are created in Kazan," - said the Mayor.

The Mayor drew attention to the quality of work – it is much more comfortable, cleaner and brighter in the premises after the overhaul. "Previously we became ill just at the sight of a hospital. Today it provides comfortable conditions for patients and physicians. Rooms are comfortable, spacious, clean and bright. This is important because it impacts on the atmosphere in the establishment and supports the people in a good mood"- said the Mayor.

According to the chief physician, chairman of the health of citizens and the environment of Kazan City Duma Vladimir Belyakov, 26 million rubles were spent for the repair. "At these funds communication, roofing and fire protection system were fully updated; repairs and finishing of the interior were made. In addition, the clinic is fully ready for service of citizens with restrictions of health under the program "Accessible Environment". We work on the principle of improving the quality of care, "- said the chief doctor.

Clinic of the city hospital №16 serves about 17 thousand people; the entire population of the city uses the services of the institution, as it houses the only center of ENT, pulmonologist and hematology centers in the city. "Our centers served 115 thousand people for 11 months of this year. The hospital has 275 beds; from the beginning of the year almost 9,000 patients were treated. There are is an average of 140 visits per shift in the women's clinic, since the beginning of the year 37,000 visits were recorded. The maternity hospital has 111 beds, from the beginning of the year 2841 births were conducted"- said V.Belyakov.

The plans of the hospital are to continue equipping of clinic to serve the residents of Kazan with the latest technology in medicine.
