(KZN.RU, October 1). Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of the capital of RT, addressed the older generation of Kazan on the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons.
“Dear citizens of Kazan, representatives of the older generation!
Today, the 1st of October, we celebrate a special holiday, the International Day of Older Persons. This is an excellent occasion for us to sincerely congratulate those who have gone through a great journey of life and have gained common respect.
Since childhood, we have adopted the traditions and wisdom of people of the older generation, the foundations of culture and native speech. Much of what we are proud of today has arisen thanks to your many years of work. You built factories, fought on the fronts and built a peaceful life, educated us, your children, and grandchildren. This holiday as a symbol of the continuity of generations is supposed to remind all of us of your invaluable contribution to the prosperity of our native city, republic, and the whole country.
I wish you good health, happiness, inexhaustible energy, and long life! Let every day give you joy, let peace and mutual understanding reign in your home!” says the greeting.
