(KZN.RU, March 4, Alena Miroshnichenko). Today, the winner of the XXIX city competition “Teacher of the Year-2019” was announced in the Kazan City Hall. He will represent the capital of Tatarstan at the republican stage of the professional competition. It was Nail Mirsaitov, a biology teacher of the boarding school №2 of the Moskovsky district. He won in the main nomination “Subject Teacher”. The competition was held in 8 nominations. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of the Tatarstan’s capital, awarded the best teachers. Rafis Burganov, the deputy prime minister of the RT and the minister of Education and Science of the RT, took part in the awarding ceremony.
In his welcome speech, the Mayor noted that every year the competition is becoming more and more prestigious and in demand among Kazan teachers. “It helps not only to find the best of the best, but also facilitates the exchange of professional experience, influences the construction of personal paths of professional development. The title “Teacher of the Year of Kazan” gives its owner a good chance to express himself not only in our city, but also in the republic and in Russia”, he said and thanked Kazan teachers for their invaluable contribution to youth development. “You are preparing our Kazan citizens for the future life, putting your soul in them, contributing to the shaping of our future”, said I. Metshin to those present in the hall.
This year, 493 teachers participated in the competition. 82 teachers from 69 educational organizations passed to the city stage. Nail Mirsaitov, a biology teacher, won in the main nomination of the competition “Subject Teacher”. The second place was taken by Anna Gubaidullina, a teacher of the Russian language and literature of the school №179 of Novo-Savinovsky district. The third place went to Artur Pakshin, a history and social studies teacher of the school №8 of the Sovetsky district. The Mayor of Kazan marked the importance of the fact that once again the competition attracts male teachers. “I can’t help but to rejoice that for several years in a row, young male teachers have participated in and won the city competition. This is an important indicator of returning of male experts to the teaching. Their mission at school is not only to give knowledge, but also to create a certain model of behavior, which serves as an example for children”, said I. Metshin.
The winner of the competition has been working at the boarding school №2 since 2013. He is also a graduate of this school. “I had excellent teachers, a very cheerful, interesting, charismatic biology teacher. And his role in my destiny, in my choice is the most important one. I went along this path because I wanted to be the same, to bring good and help the future generation”, said N. Mirsaitov.
He noted that this is his first experience of participating in the competition “Teacher of the Year”. On his way to victory, he got help from the team of the school №2 and the support of the students. “This is a victory for our entire team. Students encouraged me throughout the competition. Even today they said: “You are the best! You must win! We believe in you!”. Their support gives an additional charge of energy. I will be happy to participate in the competition at the republican stage, because I have a great desire to please them, to make them proud”, said N. Mirsaitov. He noted that victory is not only a great honor, but also a huge responsibility.
According to Rafis Burganov, the deputy prime minister of the RT and the minister of Education and Science of the RT, Kazan has been and remains the flagship of the republic in many spheres, including education. “The entire burden of the first falls on Kazan. Therefore, it is not by chance that Kazan’s representation in all republican finals is at its maximum and I think that Kazan teachers will also be at the Russian stage”, he said.
The oldest participant in the competition was a veteran teacher of 72 years old, and the youngest debutant was 21 years old.
The best veterans-teachers were Tatiana Shapiro, a primary school teacher at the school №122 named after Z. Zaitseva, Raffia Akhtyamova, a teacher of Russian language and literature at the school №155 with the Tatar language of instruction in Novo-Savinovsky district, and Vera Nazimkina, a teacher of Russian language and literature at the school №151.
A lot of young teachers took part in the nomination “Pedagogical Debut” who presented their work system very competently and convincingly along with experienced colleagues, said the Mayor of the city. “They are not afraid of competitive tests. Of course, youth is another advantage for teachers. Students see them as someone of their generation, which contributes to the rapid establishment of trusting relationships”, said I. Metshin. He awarded the best young teachers at the ceremony. The leader was Maksim Nikolaev, a history and social studies teacher of secondary school №91 of the Novo-Savinovsky district. The second place was taken by Alexander Karpov, a history and social studies teacher of the school №125 of the Sovetsky district. The third place was shared by Elena Tikhonova, a chemistry teacher of the school №78 “Farvater” of the Privolzhsky district, and Rafael Fattakhov, a geography teacher of the secondary school №64 of the Moskovsky district.
Anastasia Vorontsova, a teacher of the kindergarten №50 of the Sovetsky district, won among the teachers of a preschool educational institution. Elvira Kabirova, a speech therapist of a kindergarten №181 of the Sovetsky district, was the second one. The third place was shared by Arina Agafonova, a teacher of a kindergarten №385 of the Privolzhsky district, and Lyudmila Valeeva, the music teacher of the kindergarten №32 of the Privolzhsky district.
Evgeny Denisov, a teacher of the School-Engineering Center of the Sovetsky district, received the highest mark in the nomination “Teacher of Additional Education”. Olga Erokhina, a teacher of supplementary education of the Center for extracurricular activities of the Aviastroitelny district, received a diploma for second place. The third position in this nomination was shared by Ramiz Suleimanov from the Olympus Center for Children's Education of the Privolzhsky district, and Ramil Sibgatullin from an additional art center “Sharm” of the Moskovsky district.
Leaders of schools, mentors of the younger generation were noted in the nomination “Teacher-organizer”. The first place was taken by Guzel Sharafutdinova, a teacher-organizer of the school №125 of the Sovetsky district, the second place – by Regina Kharitonova, a teacher-organizer of the Russian-Tatar secondary school №129 of the Privolzhsky district, the third – Guzel Portnova, a teacher-organizer of the secondary school №112 of the Aviastroitelny district.
A special place in the life of schoolchildren is occupied by class teachers. They discover the brightest talents of their students. Aigul Garifullina, a teacher of the Tatar-English school №16 of the Privolzhsky district, won the main prize in the nomination “Class teacher”, the second place went to Ekaterina Mosolova from the Tatar school №15 of the Kirovsky district, the third place – Aigul Mustafina, a teacher of the secondary school №23 of the Novo-Savinovsky district.
Psychologists-teachers were also noted in Kazan. The first place was taken by Elmira Beglova, a teacher of the Polytechnic School №182 of the Kirovsky district, the second place – by Yulia Navrodskaya, a teacher of the secondary school №54 of the Aviastroitelny district, the third place – by Maria Fatina from the secondary school №141 with in-depth study of certain subjects of the Sovetsky district.
Teachers of the Tatar language and literature help to preserve national identity. The leader was Gulnara Nazipova from the school №155 with the Tatar language of instruction in Novo-Savinovsky district. The second place is taken by Gulnaz Akhtyamova from the secondary school №175 of the Sovetsky district. The third place was shared by Leisan Ziatdinova from the boarding school №4 of Kirovsky district and Liliya Nizamieva from the school №6 of the Privolzhsky district.
The contest “Teacher of the Year” was held from October 2018 to February 2019. The district stage passed from November to December of last year, and from the beginning of this year, the city stage of the professional competition was held. Three rounds were organized within the city competition: the first one “Internet resources”, the second one “Training session”, and the third stage for the finalists “Master Class” and the “Roundtable of educational politicians” on relevant issues.
