(KZN.RU,
July 8, Alina Berezhnaya). A unique thematic program was prepared in Kazan
parks for the days of the Championships WorldSkills Kazan 2019. Visitors could
attend master classes in the disciplines of the championship, try world
cuisines, as well as watch the broadcast of the opening and closing ceremonies
of the competition. Marat Zakirov, the director of the MBU “Directorate of
Parks and Squares”, announced this at the Business Monday.
The central
site for exploring the WorldSkills Championship will be the
Gorkinsko-Ometievsky Forest, where you can see the opening and closing
ceremonies of the championship. Also, from 22 to 27 of August, concerts, DJ
sets, lectures, film screenings, and master classes will be organized for
visitors.
Another
site devoted to the days of the championship will be Gorky Central Park of
Culture and Leisure, where the emphasis will be placed on the friendship
between countries and internationality. “Citizens and tourists will be
introduced to the culture of different countries and continents. From 23 to 26
of August, workshops on disciplines of the championship, culinary master
classes, as well as a food court, with cuisines from different countries will
work on the large lawn of the park. All this will be accompanied by a concert
program, performances by local artists and bands”, said M. Zakirov.
The
embankment of Kaban Lake won’t be boring in the days of the championship as
well. The concept is devoted to the cultural code and symbols of modern
Tatarstan. From 23 to 25 of August, performances of Kazan musicians are
scheduled there. The Ugol Theater, the Tinchurin Theater and Kamal Theater will
present their performances. Also, the evening film screenings of Tatarstan
directors and free tours for all comers will be held on the embankment.
Ilsur
Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, noted that special cultural sites on WorldSkills
days are an opportunity for children to learn more about working specialties.
“The format of the Universiade, the FINA, the World Cup included fan festivals.
Even though WorldSkills does not provide for the mandatory presence of such
sites, we continued this tradition. Playgrounds will attract the attention of
children to work specialties. We think that interest in working specialties
will increase after WorldSkills”, commented I. Metshin.
