(KZN.RU,
July 8, Alina Berezhnaya). An extensive cultural program in city parks has been
prepared for the entire summer season. The Park Culture program, developed by
the Directorate of Parks and Squares, includes events organized by several
institutions. Thus, the International School will hold free English classes for
children of preschool age on Tuesdays in Kaleidoscope Park. Marat Zakirov, the
director of the MBU “Directorate of Parks and Squares”, announced this at the
Business Monday.
“It's good
when a private school doesn’t hide behind a high fence, but welcomes the
masses”, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, responded to this news. “Since the
Universiade, English has become the norm in the city. More and more citizens
learn it. Activities in the parks are important. Previously, we could only see
parents with children walking on lawns only on pictures. Today it is our life;
today it’s already the norm to see many Kazan citizens in parks and squares”.
Marat
Zakirov noted that an extensive cultural program in the parks was prepared for
the entire summer season. This year, it was enhanced by both new and already
beloved citizens projects. In July, the project “Dance floor” will be launched
in the Krylya Sovetov Park for older citizens. Twice a month, on Wednesdays,
dance training classes will be held on the dance floor of the park with a
dating club as well. Also, the project “Retro Thursday” will continue in the
park until September with free street screenings of the best Soviet films.
The main
gastronomic event of July will be the Big Ice Cream Festival on July 13 and 14
in Gorky Central Park.
“More than
25 points for selling delicious summer dessert from manufacturers from
different cities (Moscow, Ulyanovsk, Yoshkar-Ola, Kazan, and others) will be
organized for Kazan citizens and guests”, said the speaker. He added that the
program includes children's and culinary master classes, DJs and musicians’
performances.
Much
attention is paid to environmental events in parks; actions on separate garbage
collection, lectures, and thematic meetings are held.
A special
thematic program has been prepared in the parks of Kazan in the days of the
WorldSkills Kazan 2019.
M. Zakirov
reminded that this year the summer entertainment program in the parks and
squares of Kazan started on May 10 and will last until September 15. Since the
beginning of the summer season, 152 events have already taken place in public
spaces of the city; over 125 thousand people attended them. There are 15 summer
cafes, 17 points with ice cream and 11 other catering outlets, 11 attractions
and sports and entertainment facilities, 7 rental of sports equipment and 2
photo services facilities for in the parks.
