Rustam Minnikhanov and Ilsur Metshin visit this year’s first renovated site under the Our Yard program

The first site renovated this year under the Our Yard republican program opened in Derbyshki. It includes 12 apartment buildings with more 1 thousand residents. Today there was a presentation of the project “Cheerful Summer KazanDA” and the first hobby boxing for children and teenagers in Tatarstan.

The Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin and Tatarstan Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Communal Services Marat Aizatullin inspected the yard and talked with residents.

Denis Vorobyov, Deputy Head of the administration of the Sovetsky district, reported that about 15 thousand square meters of asphalt were laid in the yard, and repairs and landscaping of the territory were carried out in two months. “This yard was not chosen by chance – there is a branch of the children's polyclinic No. 6 within walking distance, which also opened today. Residents were involved in the discussion at different stages of the project, a number of meetings were held this year. All the wishes received from the residents were taken into account during the implementation of the project,”- he said.

Playgrounds and sports grounds were equipped in the yard, lamps and outdoor equipment were installed. Special attention was paid to landscaping. An area of 13,400 square meters was filled with rich black soil, 70 trees and 180 shrubs were planted. “ZhKH Derbyshki” property management company carried out on the repair of facades, entrances, blind areas and roofs as part of maintenance work and major repairs.

Kazenergo JSC also carried out work on the reconstruction of 14 heat chambers and the replacement of 80 m of heating pipes from TK-1 to TK-4. Grid Company carried out work on partial transfer of overhead networks to underground utilities and replacement of the remaining supports.

According to the architect of yard, Rafael Safiullin, during the development of the project, specialists tried to place parking lots where it was possible – away from utility networks and green spaces.

“There are not many new parking lots, but, in my opinion, this problem is common to all densely populated cities. We try to solve this in every possible way. In general, we tried to do everything to make it comfortable for residents to walk and be in their yard. We believe that the neighbors will make friends with each other and will live in friendship”- he stressed.

Residents expressed their admiration for the project and thanked for the renovation. For example, Nadezhda Sabirova recently moved to live in another house, but returned here to look at the renovated yard. “Today there was a big holiday here, everything is very beautiful, we are surprised by such changes, but very happy. I used to live here, I got very used to this place, and so I came to see how everything was updated. There are a lot of different zones for children – playgrounds and paths, I suppose they are happy,”- she said.

The territories of 482 residential buildings will be landscaped this year under the Our Yard program, where about 100 thousand residents of Kazan live. In three years, under the republican program, the territories of 1,356 houses were landscaped. Improvements affected more than 300 thousand residents. This year, 2.8 billion rubles are provided for landscaping. As of today, builders are renovating 180 sites, the work has been completed by 31%.

The yards under the Our Yard program are selected by an open vote. It ended yesterday on the portal of public services, 30 yards in different districts of Kazan participated in it. The selected sites will be included in the Our Yard program as a matter of priority.

During the visit, Rustam Minnikhanov and Ilsur Metshin launched the project “Cheerful Summer KazanDA”, within which more than 4 thousand children and teenagers will be engaged in interesting activities during the summer holidays.
